Supporting Seminarians

The road to the priesthood is long and laborious. It often takes 6-8+ years of study, with seminarians attending classes during the school year and working in parishes or gaining other ministry experience during the summer. During this time, many live on the budget of a college student. 

Ways to support our seminarians:

• Contact a local seminary for specific ways to help.

• Consider sending monetary support to treat all the seminarians to something nice on a special occasion.

• Consider sending a small monetary gift on a liturgical holiday or special occasion to a seminarian with whom you have a personal connection (i.e. seminarian known personally, seminarian from benefactor's parish, etc).

Please be aware that, while a kind gesture, dropping off unsolicited food is typically not helpful.
